Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
We run pear the same way in Greece: same 30 ml shortfill, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Greece that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within €2.65 per 10 ml.
The short version: pear in Greece works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear 30 ml shortfill really costs in Greece
We run pear the same way in Greece: same 30 ml shortfill, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested pear in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Greece, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 3–7 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in Greece, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where pear goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in Greece survives.
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
How long does pear in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In Greece we measured 6 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On pear the budget price and the premium price can sit within €2.65 per 10 ml once 3–7 business days is counted.
